Attention 8th-12th grade students and parents: Hello Coyotes!
We hope that everyone is adjusting well to the new school year and all the changes that it has brought. As you may have heard, we are excited to share that we want to offer an opportunity to Reed City students to participate in an Educational Travel experience to Europe in 2022. It feels good to talk about something exciting--something that we can look forward to after the COVID era has passed.
We wanted to reach out with this exciting opportunity while also remaining sensitive to what's happening in the world. Due to restrictions on holding large meetings in person, We have had an idea to host a virtual meeting so that a tour can still happen in two years for your students when COVID-19 is no longer affecting travel.
We will be hosting a virtual info meeting on Wednesday, October 7th at 6 PM where we will discuss details like EF’s Safety Protocol and how they are supporting groups this year, exciting itinerary details, affordable payment options, and more! This meeting isn’t requiring that you travel, but why not learn about something fun and exciting while you have some time at home with your student.
You may already know that we have an educational tour scheduled for May of 2021 to Ireland and Scotland, and another tour to Italy and Greece in June of 2021. This tour will be for the summer of 2022, and will be a completely new destination--including Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria! This is an amazing tour, and priced well below the cost of the tours for 2021!! We will go over all of the details at the meeting, and will help you choose the best option for you and your family, should this once-in-a-lifetime experience be of interest to you. And yes--families can go, too! We have had many parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles travel with our students.
Please register to receive the meeting link by following this link:

If you cannot attend the online meeting, please let us know, and we will find a time to go over all of the details with you. There will be a significant discount for signing up the first week of enrollment, and we don't want anyone to miss out on that. Get in touch with us right away if you have questions!
Best,
Katrina Wray

FACE COVERING EXEMPTION REQUESTS
REED CITY AREA PUBLIC SCHOOLS
FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2020
Parents:
Please submit any Face Covering/Mask Waiver Exemption Requests to building principals as soon as possible. The District Return to School Roadmap plan requires a review of all medical requests prior to implementing them. A medical request also creates a need for the District to initiate or process consideration of the request under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act or the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Please be advised that students who are medically exempt from wearing masks may be required to wear face shields. The District may require additional precautions to ensure staff and student safety. If the District determines that your student is unable to safely attend school, the District may require your student to participate in our comparable Learn from Home virtual program.
